Configuring your web browser to allow pop-up windows for this website

Most web browsers include a feature to block pop-up windows. While this may eliminate unwanted or bothersome pop-up windows, this feature will impede the functionality of this website.

Note For All Browsers: Some of this web site's functionality (Drop downs, etc.) requires Javascript. Ensure that your browser's settings allow Javascript.

Follow the instructions below to configure your web browser to allow pop-up windows for whitefishlakepoa.org:

Safari (macOS)

  1. Make certain your version of the app is up to date (instructions for older versions may vary).
  2. Open the Safari App.
  3. Navgate to our website: whitefishlakepoa.org
  4. Choose Preferences....
  5. Click on the Websites tab at the top of the Preferences window.
  6. From the left side-bar, click on Pop-up Windows.
  7. In the same Preferences window click the drop-down menu next to our website and select Allow.

NOTE: As a workaround, if none of these options work, add the Chrome Browser (Free) as an alternative browser and follow the Chrome instructions below.

Safari (iPad or iPhone)

    1. Open the Settings app.
    2. Scroll down and tap Safari. This will have an icon that looks like your Safari app.
    3. Turn off the toggle next to Block Pop-ups. You will know it is off when it is grey instead of green.
    4. Clear the cache on your iPhone or iPad.
      1. From the same Safari Preferences menu, scroll down and tap Clear History and Website Data. This is highlighted in blue text near the bottom.
      2. Click Clear History and Data.

NOTE: As a workaround, if none of these options work, add the Chrome Browser (Free) as an alternative browser and follow the Chrome instructions below.

Chrome (Windows/macOS)

Option 1:

  1. Click on one of the links that will trigger a new window, such as any under WI DNR Links.
  2. To the left of the URL address bar, you should see an icon that looks like i with a circle around it (View Information).
  3. Click on Site Settings.
  4. Scroll to the Pop-ups and redirects section and click on it.
  5. Scroll to the Allows section and click the Add button.
  6. Copy the following site name: http://whitefishlakepoa.org
  7. Paste that name into the Site field, and click the Add button.
  8. Close the settings tab.
  9. Now refresh the Whitefish Lake page.

Option 2:

  1. Click the icon with three horizontal bars in the upper right side of the browser toolbar.
  2. Click Settings.
  3. Click on Privacy and Security.
  4. In the Privacy and Security section, click on Site settings.
  5. Scroll to the Pop-ups and redirects section and click on it.
  6. Scroll to the Allows section and click the Add button.
  7. Copy the following site name: http://whitefishlakepoa.org
  8. Paste that name into the Site field, and click the Add button.
  9. Close the settings tab.
  10. Now refresh the Whitefish Lake page.

Firefox (Windows/macOS)

  1. Click on one of the links that will trigger a new window, such as any under WI DNR Links.
  2. An information bar should appear (yellow) stating Firefox prevented this site from opening...
  3. When you click either the Options button in the information bar or the icon in the address bar, a menu is displayed with several choices:
  4. Select Allow/Block pop-ups for this site.

Edge (Windows 10 only)

  1. Click on one of the links that will trigger a new window, such as any under WI DNR Links.
  2. To the right of the URL address bar (next to the star), an icon should appear with a red X
  3. When you click on that icon in the address bar, a Pop-ups Blocked menu is displayed with several choices:
  4. Select Always allow pop-ups and redirects from ....

Internet Explorer (Windows)

When a website attempts to launch a new pop-up window, you may see dialog boxes alerting you of pop-up windows that have been blocked. Follow the instructions below to allow pop-up windows on a per-website basis.

  1. Copy the following site name: http://whitefishlakepoa.org
  2. From the Tools menu (the gear icon on the far right), select Internet options. The Internet Options dialog box opens.
  3. Click on the Privacy tab.
  4. Under Pop-up Blocker ensure the Turn on Pop-up Blocker checkbox is checked, and then click Settings. The Pop-up Blocker Settings dialog box opens.
  5. Right-click in the Address of website to allow: field, then choose the Paste command.
  6. Click Add.
  7. Close any remaining dialog boxes.
