Most web browsers include a feature to block pop-up windows. While this may eliminate unwanted or bothersome pop-up windows, this feature will impede the functionality of this website.
Note For All Browsers: Some of this web site's functionality (Drop downs, etc.) requires Javascript. Ensure that your browser's settings allow Javascript.
Follow the instructions below to configure your web browser to allow pop-up windows for whitefishlakepoa.org:
Safari (macOS)
- Make certain your version of the app is up to date (instructions for older versions may vary).
- Open the Safari App.
- Navgate to our website: whitefishlakepoa.org
- Choose Preferences....
- Click on the Websites tab at the top of the Preferences window.
- From the left side-bar, click on Pop-up Windows.
- In the same Preferences window click the drop-down menu next to our website and select Allow.
NOTE: As a workaround, if none of these options work, add the Chrome Browser (Free) as an alternative browser and follow the Chrome instructions below.
Safari (iPad or iPhone)
- Open the Settings app.
- Scroll down and tap Safari. This will have an icon that looks like your Safari app.
- Turn off the toggle next to Block Pop-ups. You will know it is off when it is grey instead of green.
- Clear the cache on your iPhone or iPad.
- From the same Safari Preferences menu, scroll down and tap Clear History and Website Data. This is highlighted in blue text near the bottom.
- Click Clear History and Data.
NOTE: As a workaround, if none of these options work, add the Chrome Browser (Free) as an alternative browser and follow the Chrome instructions below.
Chrome (Windows/macOS)
Option 1:
- Click on one of the links that will trigger a new window, such as any under WI DNR Links.
- To the left of the URL address bar, you should see an icon that looks like i with a circle around it (View Information).
- Click on Site Settings.
- Scroll to the Pop-ups and redirects section and click on it.
- Scroll to the Allows section and click the Add button.
- Copy the following site name: http://whitefishlakepoa.org
- Paste that name into the Site field, and click the Add button.
- Close the settings tab.
- Now refresh the Whitefish Lake page.
Option 2:
- Click the icon with three horizontal bars in the upper right side of the browser toolbar.
- Click Settings.
- Click on Privacy and Security.
- In the Privacy and Security section, click on Site settings.
- Scroll to the Pop-ups and redirects section and click on it.
- Scroll to the Allows section and click the Add button.
- Copy the following site name: http://whitefishlakepoa.org
- Paste that name into the Site field, and click the Add button.
- Close the settings tab.
- Now refresh the Whitefish Lake page.
Firefox (Windows/macOS)
- Click on one of the links that will trigger a new window, such as any under WI DNR Links.
- An information bar should appear (yellow) stating Firefox prevented this site from opening...
- When you click either the Options button in the information bar or the icon in the address bar, a menu is displayed with several choices:
- Select Allow/Block pop-ups for this site.
Edge (Windows 10 only)
- Click on one of the links that will trigger a new window, such as any under WI DNR Links.
- To the right of the URL address bar (next to the star), an icon should appear with a red X
- When you click on that icon in the address bar, a Pop-ups Blocked menu is displayed with several choices:
- Select Always allow pop-ups and redirects from ....
Internet Explorer (Windows)
When a website attempts to launch a new pop-up window, you may see dialog boxes alerting you of pop-up windows that have been blocked. Follow the instructions below to allow pop-up windows on a per-website basis.
- Copy the following site name: http://whitefishlakepoa.org
- From the Tools menu (the gear icon on the far right), select Internet options. The Internet Options dialog box opens.
- Click on the Privacy tab.
- Under Pop-up Blocker ensure the Turn on Pop-up Blocker checkbox is checked, and then click Settings. The Pop-up Blocker Settings dialog box opens.
- Right-click in the Address of website to allow: field, then choose the Paste command.
- Click Add.
- Close any remaining dialog boxes.
